Deer Trail Meat Co. is a multi-generation, family owned business that supplies Denver, Colorado and the surrounding areas with high-quality beef and pork cuts. They raise grass-fed, grain-finished cattle from birth without hormones, chemicals, or steroids over 2,500 acres of open fields and manage the entire process through butchering and packaging, ensuring you know exactly where your meat comes from.

Farm to Table without Compromise

After spending a few hours out on their farm getting to know the Vallin’s and exploring their land, I knew I wanted to create a logo that embodied their spirit and their “do it yourself” homegrown approach. I also wanted to create something that spoke to the legacy of the family like a badge or crest.

Collateral

Web presence

Due to the nature of working with a very small, family owned business our project scope was fairly limited. In an effort to conserve both design and dev hours where possible, we started with a Shopify template base and customized the design. Once the final mockups were approved, I worked closely with our developer to bring the site live.

You can find DeerTrail’s live site here. Please note a different agency has since taken control of the site.

Video promotion

I coordinated with our vendor, Sandy Puć Photography, and their video and motion team to create three branded promotional videos using entirely custom video footage, taken on-site. I was responsible for direction, mapping the storyboard, and managing the review process with both client and vendor through completion.
